There he received in-depth training in all fields of neurosurgery with a heavy focus on treating degenerative spinal pathology from both a traditional, open approach to utilizing state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques. He also received extensive training in the treatment of traumatic injury to the brain and spine. During his training, the LSU Department of Neurosurgery was recognized nationally by receiving the Health Grades Top 10% in Nation Neurosurgery Excellence Award.
