Dr. Charlie Moore, originally from New Iberia, is a board-certified Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon at Southern ENT. He brings exceptional skills and experience to the practice, where he is known for his compassionate care, advanced medical skills, and personal warmth.
Dr. Moore graduated Summa Cum Laude in computer science and software engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. There, he was named Most Outstanding Student in Computer Science and awarded the University Medal, LSU’s top honor. He then earned his medical degree at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where he was elected to the honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He also received the Cheryl Clark Lyles Outstanding Student Award in Otolaryngology. Dr. Moore then completed an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. His residency included extensive pediatric training at one of the leading pediatric ENT departments at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where he received a grant from the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology to study DNA alterations in children with obstructive sleep apnea.
In his free time, Dr. Moore spends time with his wife, Caroline, and their five children. He plays guitar and piano, enjoys carpentry, and is an avid LSU sports fan. He also has a passion for cooking, especially smoking meats, making hot sauce, and all things Cajun.
