Dr. Anu Gupta Desai was born and raised in Lafayette and completed her undergraduate education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She was awarded Outstanding Graduate of the College of Sciences upon graduation with her Bachelors of Science Degree. She then attended LSU Medical School in New Orleans, where she was awarded the Luis Perez Ophthalmology Award upon achieving her medical degree.

After graduation, she completed her residency in Ophthalmology at John H Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, IL, and a fellowship in Cornea & Refractive Surgery at Columbia University, in New York City.

Dr. Desai practiced at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL, before returning to Lafayette with her family in 2015. She joined Dr. Harold LeDoux in practice in 2016. Dr. LeDoux has since retired, and Dr. Desai is pleased to announce that she is welcoming new & established patients to her practice.
