Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital recently announced Chris Kohlenberg, CPA, MBA, MHA, FHFMA, CHA as their new Chief Financial Officer.
Kohlenberg, who most recently served as CFO at Jennings American Legion Hospital, brings with him 30 years of experience in healthcare and financial management industry.
Kohlenberg earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from McNeese State University in 1983, his Master of Business Administration from University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) in 1992 and his Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from University of St. Francis in 1998.
Prior to his most recent role in Jennings, Chris enjoyed a stellar career as Partner with Langlinais, Broussard & Kohlenberg of Abbeville. He also touts a wide range of healthcare leadership roles in his earlier career.
His professional affiliations include The American Institute of Certified American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), American Society of Certified Public Accountants, Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants, Louisiana Rural Health Association, Rural Health Coalition, Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), American College of Healthcare Executives, and American Institute of Healthcare Compliance (AIHC)
He has previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Acadiana and as Chairman of the Louisiana Rural Health Association.
