Dr. Noel was born and raised in Abbeville, Louisiana. The product of three generations of rice farmers, Doctor Noel grew up with a keen appreciation for the hard work and beauty of farm life, but knew early on that medical practice was his calling in life. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as the Outstanding Graduate of the class of 1986, and received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, indicating academic performance in the top ten percent of his medical school class. He then performed a surgical internship and completed a residency training program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Noel also completed a yearlong research fellowship at the LSU/Kresge Hearing Research Laboratory in New Orleans. After completion of his training and successfully completing all of the requirements of board certification in Otolaryngology from the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Noel and his wife, Michele, moved back home to the Acadiana area to live and practice medicine. Since this time, Dr. Noel has achieved fellowship in the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy as well as board certification in Sleep Medicine.
