Dr. Butaud received his B. S. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and his MD from LSU Medical School in New Orleans. He completed his internship and residency in Otolaryngology at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas. He served as Assistant Chief and Chief of Otolaryngology at the US Army Regional Medical Center in Frankfurt, West Germany. He also served as Chief of Otolaryngology at Fort Carson, Colorado until leaving military service as a Lt. Colonel to set up private practice in Lafayette. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, member of the Louisiana State Board of Otolaryngology, Louisiana State Medical Society and Lafayette Parish Medical Society. He is a clinical instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology & Biocommunications at LSU Medical School.
